During my travels around Japan and Korea in 2024, I started a daily drawing practice as a way to remain grounded and to record the beautiful places I saw, people I met and food I ate. Each sketch was a record of something I wanted to remember, a way to connect with myself through noticing. Some evolved into larger paintings, others remained as quiet artefacts of the day.
The travel diary illustrates my journey made from Tokyo's mountains to Kamakura, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka, Okinawa, Nara, Wakayama and Seoul.
